January 2026 - Nativity Festival

In December, we held our first Nativity Festival. A lot of work went into planning, preparing and hosting over 2 days. We had a wide variety of cribs to display - homemade, baked, hand knitted, precious family heirlooms, an amusing cheese creation and a beautiful felt picture rescued from a house clearance. On Friday we welcomed visitors on their way to the Sensory garden light trail and more on their way home who heard the carol singing in the garden and came to join us. On Saturday we were entertained by the Lamphouse singers with a variety of Christmas songs and carols.

The whole weekend was a good opportunity to share our hospitality, creativity, friendship and support to all who came through the doors. There were many memorable moments to reflect on, and we hope that those who came enjoyed themselves and saw a glimmer of the light and wonder of Christ’s birth.
