No sooner have we navigated Christmas than Spring is arriving, with the tiny white heads of the Snowdrops in our gardens and the daffodils appearing along the borders through the village. Oh and the Easter Eggs in the shops!!
Whilst mentioning Easter, at the Methodist Church we will again be having our usual Lent Lunch....on Saturday 21 March 12 – 2

Also this year as a church we are hosting a Maundy Thursday shared supper, followed by a short prayerful time together to mark the end of Lent.

The Methodist Chapel in Downley (Moor Lane HP13 5YP) will be having their regular film afternoon.
Free film and afternoon tea.

A lovely way to spend an afternoon.
Lastly, following our successful shoe box filling morning last October , we managed to add a few more boxes so we were thrilled to send about 75 off to Eastern Europe for the children and young people to receive in time for Christmas.
The Mustard Seed Mission who organise Love in a Box, due to increased costs and uncertainty in Eastern Europe have reluctantly decided to end this project and close their headquarters. Any items they have left over will be given to International Aid who will continue to support the vulnerable people in those areas and other parts of the world.
As a church, we have supported this charity for almost 20 years and would like to thank everyone who has donated items, money and their time to Love in a Box.
